No BS Active Policy
I don’t know about you but I am sick and tired of all the crap I have to put up with when I visit a website. Popups, Affiliate Ads, Sponsor Ads, Subscribe, Sign Up, Click Here, Buy Now, and especially BUZZFEED.
So I created a No BS Active Website…a simple straightforward recipe site.
No Buzzfeed
I am a Buzzfeed hater. Trust me, I understand the value of the Buzzfeed idea. And yes, I have clicked on Buzzfeed links. However, I lose focus when I read these articles. That is to say, I forget what I was seeking in the first place.
No Popups
Equally annoying are Popups. “Subscribe Now”, “Sign up here”, “Free Newsletter”, etc, etc, etc. You can often hear me swearing at the computer screen when these popups appear. Even if I don’t verbalize my frustration, you can bet I am thinking many bad words.
No Sponsor Ads
OK, I get it! People want to make money from their website and sponsors want to get their advertisements out to their audience. This is not new. However, I don’t want to see commercials when I am looking for a great recipe.
Cookies
“Browser Cookies” are a way of life now. I am guessing that EVERY website uses cookies in some shape or form. In fact, I am sure this site uses them.
